We are the creative team behind Light Bear Gallery.

Previously, we worked in collaboration with the non-profit organization ZMO-Regionalverband Dresden e.V., with whom we developed and presented virtual 3D exhibitions through the online Gallery Omnibus in 2023 and 2024. You can explore some of our previous exhibitions here.

Today, we are continuing this project independently, guided by a clear vision: to create a high-quality, atmospheric platform for contemporary artists from around the world.

Our aim is to foster international creative dialogue, professional exchange, and the presentation of contemporary art — a space where artists can reach audiences beyond geographical boundaries and where visitors can discover new artistic perspectives.

I began exhibiting my own work as an artist in the early 2010s. At the time, video art was the most accessible format for me, allowing me to submit my work to festivals and exhibitions around the world.

Over the following eight years, I participated in more than 500 exhibitions and festivals in different countries. Then came the COVID-19 pandemic, a difficult period for the entire cultural sector. Many galleries were forced to close due to financial difficulties, and the art world changed profoundly.

It became increasingly clear to me that online platforms and social media would play a growing role in the future of the art world.

I started an Instagram blog where I regularly shared my drawings and paintings. The response was encouraging: some of my posts received more than a thousand likes, accompanied by numerous warm and inspiring comments from artists and art lovers around the world.

At the same time, I was working as a curator at a small gallery in Dresden. Here, too, the consequences of the pandemic were clearly visible. Visitor numbers at physical exhibitions and cultural events declined significantly. People became less likely to visit galleries, while many artistic projects were forced to find new ways of communicating with their audiences.

Observing these developments and the changing art market led me to an important conclusion: a well-designed online platform can give artists the visibility they need while allowing them to present their work to audiences worldwide.

At the same time, online exhibitions can eliminate the need for expensive and logistically complicated shipping of artworks, making international exhibition opportunities more accessible to both artists and audiences.

However, as convenient and effective as social media may be, it cannot fully recreate the atmosphere of a real exhibition. It offers limited possibilities for presenting artworks in high resolution and for providing visitors with in-depth information about the artist, their work, and the ideas behind it.

This is where modern 3D virtual exhibition spaces offer entirely new possibilities.

They allow us to go beyond simply displaying individual artworks. A virtual gallery can create the atmosphere and experience of an exhibition, giving visitors the freedom to move through the space, explore artworks in detail, and simultaneously learn more about the artist and their artistic vision.

This is the idea behind Light Bear Gallery: to combine the accessibility of the digital world with the atmosphere, depth, and sense of discovery of a real exhibition.
